Interlibrary Loan

Use Interlibrary Loan (ILLiad) to borrow or purchase items not found in Vassar's collection.

What is Interlibrary Loan?

Interlibrary Loan (ILL) is a service we offer to help you get books, scores, and articles (and sometimes other items) not in Vassar's collections. Please use the below links to access our ILL system:

What Will ILL Cost?

There is no charge for ILL services, unless borrowed items are lost or damaged. 

Who May Use ILL?

  • VC faculty and their spouses/domestic partners
  • Administrators
  • Staff
  • Currently enrolled students.

Questions about finding books or articles? Ask a librarian.

Questions about your ILL request? Call ILL, ex. 5765 (weekdays 8:30-5:00) or email ill@vassar.edu. ILL Office is located in the staff corridor of the library, last door on the left (Room 146) and is staffed weekdays 8:30-5:00.

Questions about finding printed musical scores?  Call the Music Library at x7492 (weekdays 8:30-5:00) or email muslib@vass.edu.  The Music Library is located on the first floor of Skinner Hall.
