In addition to Research Desk help, e-mail research service is available for short research questions that can be answered online. Send e-mail to reference@vassar.edu.
For more in-depth, one-on-one research help, make an appointment for a research consultation with a research librarian. If you are doing research in science, art, or music, your request will be sent to librarians who specialize in these areas. Forms for requesting a research consultation are at the Research Desk and online.

Research librarians will work with you to prepare online research guides on a particular subject or for a particular course. Contact your liaison librarian or the Research Department if you would like an online research guide.
The purpose of the mediated database searching service is to support the academic and scholarly research needs of Vassar faculty and students by supplementing the readily available indexes and abstracts. Request forms for database searches may be filled out at the Research Desk. Please allow 3-5 days for processing of the request. There is no charge for this service.
