Although the Acquisitions Department checks current Library holdings and order records before placing orders for individual titles, if possible please check the online catalog to see if Vassar already owns the item you would like to request. The online catalog will also tell you if the item is already on order.
Please include author, title, imprint, isbn (helpful but not necessary), and your name with your order. If possible also include a reference to your bibliographic source.
Orders can be placed electronically through the Acquisitions Order Forms page. They can also be placed via paper form, available from the Acquisitions Department. Requests for Art and Music Library Materials should go directly to the Art or Music Librarians.
New subscriptions are not being initiated during the ongoing serials review, but please feel free at any point to send your ideas for new journal titles to Debra Bucher, Collection Development Librarian, debucher@vassar.edu. Debra will collect your suggestions and at the conclusion of our review in the spring we will begin to consider these requests.
