Visiting the Vassar Libraries

Welcome back to the Library!

In keeping with updates to Vassar College’s COVID-19 safety practices and policies, we have implemented the following guidelines for use of library buildings and spaces. If you have questions about using the libraries, please contact the Director’s Office, 845-437-5785.

  • Masks are required indoors in all Vassar spaces, including the libraries.
  • Library buildings are open to the campus community (students, faculty, Emeriti faculty, and staff) with card access.
  • Guest borrowers are invited to resume their use of the libraries.
  • Those with appointments and participants in campus tours will also be admitted to the libraries.
  • Social distancing and room capacity requirements have been lifted.
  • The 24-Hour Space and group study rooms are available for use.
  • Research help from librarians is available both in-person and online (chat, email, and Zoom).
  • The Archives & Special Collections Library is open to researchers by appointment. Please contact or 845-437-3799.

Although many restrictions have been eased, we ask that library users remain vigilant about health and safety. These practices and policies may change as needs arise.
