Students can borrow materials for one month at a time, with renewals available.
Copies of articles, books, videos/DVDs put on course reserve by faculty can be found at the Circulation Desks in each library. Electronic reserves are linked from the catalog. Check the online catalog to see what is on reserve for your classes.
Libraries are complex. Do not hesitate to ask questions. All inquiries are encouraged and welcomed. Your librarians can help you use your research time effectively and efficiently.
Walk-in questions: Ask for a librarian at the Circulation desk in the Main or Music Library every Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:00pm. During those hours there will be a librarian available to meet with you on a moment's notice.
Email: Email a librarian after hours
Consultations: Schedule an individual or small group consultation with the librarian liaison for the Department/Program matching your research needs
JYA: Help is available during JYA. Email a librarian with your research question. We will even scan and send something from our print collection to you.
If you are looking to hold an event or table in the library lobby, Class of 1951 Reading Room, or other space, please contact the Library Administration Office at 845-437-5785 or email libfacil@vassar.edu.
