Political Science

Guide to resources and research strategies in Political Science.

About this guide

In this guide, you will find suggestions for resources, tools, and strategies relevant to courses and research projects in political science. Contact the Vassar librarians for recommendations tailored to your research needs.

Researching in Political Science

At Vassar, political science courses are offered in topics that fall within the four major subfields of the discipline:

  • American politics
  • comparative politics
  • international politics
  • political theory

As such, your research will, too,  so the resources in this guide will help you with your work in these areas.

This is not a comprehensive guide but it does highlight some of our most useful materials and it's a great place to start to help you identify and navigate some of the excellent resources we have here at the library in the field.
