Ask a Librarian

Special note to the Vassar community

Whether you're on- or off-campus, Vassar's librarians are available to help! We can help you navigate electronic resources and databases, construct effective search strategies, and identify sources for your research and coursework.

In spring 2021, we will continue to meet with researchers using Zoom and other online methods.

EmailContact the Vassar librarians at or consult the Subject Librarians list to find the librarian for your department or program.

In personA librarian is available to chat Monday-Friday, 1-5 PM. Please note that our chat service will end for the fall semester on Friday, December 11 and resume on Tuesday, January 19. During that time, please contact us at

Schedule a Zoom appointment

Appointment Complete the form on the right side of this page to schedule a consultation with a librarian, and we will provide you with a Zoom meeting link. We can meet with researchers individually or in small groups; if you'd like to schedule a small-group consultation, only one participant needs to fill out the form. Please note that Zoom meetings can be conducted by phone and you do not need to join with video in order to consult with a librarian.

Walk-in assistance

CallWalk-in help from librarians is unavailable during the fall semester, as we are primarily working remotely. Please chat with us, email us at, or schedule a Zoom appointment.
