U.S. Federal Documents
Vassar College has been part of the Federal Depository Library Program since 1943. We receive 30% of publications from various agencies distributed through the program. Our collection strengths are women, labor, international relations, U.S. demographics, legislation, foreign relations, education, and public policy. Materials come in a variety of formats including print volumes; microfilm and microfiche; CD/DVD/Videocassette; and online.
The majority of our government documents collection is located in the basement of the Thompson Memorial Library in Stack 1, with a significant number of materials found in other locations throughout the stacks. A number of older government publications are stored in the ANNEX and can be requested for use.
You can search for government documents by SuDoc Number, keyword, subject, author, publishing agency or department in Vassar Library Search.
