Interlibrary Loan

Use Interlibrary Loan (ILLiad) to borrow or purchase items not found in Vassar's collection.

What is Interlibrary Loan?

Interlibrary Loan (ILL) is a service we offer to help you get books, scores, and articles (and sometimes other items) not in Vassar's collections.  We use 2 systems to fill ILL requests:

  • ConnectNY (please use the ILLiad link below during June - August 2022)
  • ILLiad

What Will ILL Cost?

Usually, there is no charge, but some libraries do charge for lending.

Please indicate on the request form the highest fee you are willing to pay. We will try to fill your request free of charge or at the lowest fee possible.

Who May Use ILL?

  • VC faculty and their spouses/domestic partners
  • Administrators
  • Staff
  • Currently enrolled students.
