Benefits of Claiming and Maintaining Your Web of Science Author Profile

  • Ensure that all your works in WoS are correctly attributed to you.
  • Obtain citation counts, h-index, data on journals' impact factors, and citation metrics reports.
  • Add variants of your name.
  • Link your author record with ORCID and authorize exchange of data between these systems to save time.
  • Keep track of your peer reviewer and editor activities in journals indexed by WoS.

Getting Started

If you haven't already done so, you need to register for an account in Web of Science (WoS)  before you can access your Author Profile. Registering for an account in WoS also enables you to save searches and set up alerts to keep up with publications in your field.

  5. Tip: *Permitting your ORCiD account to automatically sync with your Web of Science Researcher Profile will help keep both profiles current.
