Finding Books & Ebooks

Use Vassar Library Search to locate books and ebooks.

  1. Start with a keyword search, or search by title, author or subject.
    1. Revisit search terms and subject headings.
  2. Use the filters on the left side to filter by, 
    1. Availability: select Available Online or Physical Collections
    2. Resource Type: select Books or Book Chapters
      1. Note if you select Book Chapters, a larger percentage of your search results will be ebooks. 

Visit Find, Borrow, Request (or see the box for Resources Beyond Vassar on the first page of this guide) for more strategies and accessing books beyond Vassar, such as requesting books from other libraries through Interlibrary Loan.
