Populist leaders claim to speak for the people, and in the process often silence citizens they claim to represent. But people rarely remain silenced, and their political views seep into other practices. This talk examines one way that Trump partisans injected themselves into the movement - through different forms of expressive culture. Ranging from installations to miniatures, partisans used material and digital culture to express their desires, ideal types and ideological concerns to speak around, through and to Trump's larger populist project.
