We are excited to announce that the Vassar College Libraries will transition our library catalog and associated systems to a new, more modern platform called Alma. The new system, which goes live in the summer of 2022, will offer numerous improvements, including a streamlined search experience that will help you to find the materials you need more quickly and easily. A team of librarians and staff are working diligently to ensure a smooth and timely transition. Keep an eye on this page for news and updates on the project, as well as information on any potential disruptions to library services as we complete the transition. In preparation for the migration to our new ILS we are announcing the following deadlines to request the order of new library materials. Please contact Deb Bucher, Head of Collections & Discovery, if you have any questions or concerns.
During this period, the Libraries will limit all ordering to requests for crucial materials for faculty and students. Other requests will be considered after July 1.
