Open Access publishing isn't new, but the discussion about open resources for teaching and research is always evolving. OA has potential implications for where and how scholars publish, what texts faculty select for their courses, how the library makes materials accessible to patrons, and what resources are available to students for their coursework and research.
On Thursday, April 18, the Vassar Libraries are hosting a panel on Open Access Research that considers OA from multiple angles: research, teaching, scholarly publishing, and textbook affordability and equity. Our panelists are Josh de Leeuw, Associate Professor of Cognitive Science, and Pambanisha Whaley, Head of User Services in the Vassar College Libraries. We hope you'll join us for lunch (pizza!) and conversation.
Thursday, April 18, 1-2 PM
Class of 1951 Reading Room (Main Library, second floor)
