On April 24th, 2024, the Vassar Libraries and the Peace Education Center of the Hudson Valley hosted an event featuring art materials created by the group Librarians and Archivists with Palestine. Community members were invited to view and reflect on the materials and hear from two LAP members over Zoom about the process of creating the portfolio. This guide includes resources for further exploration of the issues affecting Palestinian libraries and information access under occupation, especially in the context of the current genocide.

Librarians and Archivists with Palestine is, in their own words, "a network of self-defined librarians, archivists, and information workers in solidarity with the Palestinian struggle for self-determination." In 2013, LAP organized a delegation trip to Palestine to visit universities, libraries, and other cultural organizations and then created this portfolio of art and zines to share what they learned.
