Some databases search full text for your keyword terms, and some search for your keywords in citations and abstracts only. Some are article indexes only, and some link to the full text. Some article citations in a database's index will be available at Vassar in print in our Periodical Room. Sometimes you will find articles in journals that Vassar does not subscribe to, so you will need to request them through InterLibrary Loan (ILL). Often, databases include indexing for book chapters and books, so read your citations carefully! If it's a book, you will have to look up the book title in Vassar's catalog, or in ConnectNY's catalog, or in WorldCat, to order through ILL. If you're ever confused, ASK A LIBRARIAN or emai me.
