Poughkeepsie newspapers frequently started and ended, overlapped, merged and were renamed from 1785 through the 20th century. We have many Poughkeepsie newspapers available online and in microfilm.

Polk's Directory

Polk's Directories have been published for various cities since the mid-19th century.  Their format has changed through the years.  They list residents, professions, and businesses, and contain advertisements for local businesses.

Vassar has Polk's Directories for Poughkeepsie and its vicinity for 1843-1988.
