Digital Preservation

Introduction

Digital preservation is “the management and protection of digital information to ensure authenticity, integrity, reliability, and long-term accessibility” (Dictionary of Archives Terminology). You can (and should!) apply digital preservation techniques to your schoolwork, research data, and personal files so that you have access to your data for years to come.

For more information or to discuss a digital preservation project, contact the Digital Preservation Librarian (kgianfrancesco@vassar.edu).
