Access to Online Resources

Getting Started

Vassar College Libraries provides access to the web editions of The New York Times, Washington Post, and The Wall Street Journal. Follow the instructions below for each. We also provide access to hundreds of other news sources, but it's sometimes challenging to determine what we have. The best place to start is the Journals finder: just type in the title of the publication to find out what database it's in. One new collection of news sources, Access World News, is below. It includes hundreds of local, regional, national, and international news sources, all of which are updated regularly.

We also have many databases of current and historical newspapers and magazines. Try these lists of Current Newspapers & Magazines or Historical Newspapers & Magazines to get started.

Lastly, if you have any questions about what we have, how to access it, or how to search and download, do not hesitate to contact us.
