Celebratory Bloomsyear Centennial Reading of James Joyce’s Ulysses!

Thornwillow Press LogoThornwillow Press (Newburgh, NY) has embarked on a project to have thirty scholars, writers, artists, celebrities, and others around the world take part in reading the novel Ulysses in thirty video episodes. The series will be completed on Centennial Bloomsday June 16, 2022. Readers include Salmon Rushdie, Stephen Fry, Roseann Cash, and our own Ronald Patkus!

Ronald Patkus, Head of Special Collections and Adjunct Associate Professor of History on the Frederick Weyerhaeuser Chair, begins reading in episode two following the brief introduction. Vassar College Libraries is the archive for Thornwillow Press and its history was documented in Ars omnia tuetur: 25 years of fine printing at Thornwillow Press by Ronald D. Patkus (2010).
