Intro to Zotero

Learn how to build custom web based bibliographies for personal use and in groups.

What is Zotero?

Zotero groups provide the opportunity for students and faculty to collaborate remotely to build custom bibliographies using commonly known resource identifiers, such as ISBN numbers and website URLs. These web-based bibliographies can be used in classroom instruction, community engagement activities, and much more. This guide will cover how to create a personal Zotero account, create a Zotero group, customize group privacy settings, add members to your group, and create collections of bibliographic content.

* Please note: If you do not have the most current Zotero Chrome addon you may encounter problems with other services such as Kanopy that require a proxy connector. This conflict, if experienced, is resolved by uninstalling the Zotero Chrome addon and installing the most current version.
