Located in room 68 of the main library, our Young Reader collection includes picture books, middle grade literature, YA novels, and everything in between. Whether you want to take a trip down memory lane or find something entirely new, you can do that here!

The Young Reader collection is located in Room 68 of the Thompson Library.

Children of Vassar employees between the ages of 1 and 26 and spouses of employees are eligible to get a Dependent ID Card from Vassar's Card Office. Anyone with a Dependent ID Card can bring it to the Circulation Desk to activate library borrowing privileges. In addition to browsing our Young Reader collection in the stacks of the main library, you can also search for children's books in our online library catalog! Go to Vassar Library Search to get started and sign in with your OneLogin. (You don't have to sign in to access Library Search, but we strongly recommend doing so to see the full results from your searches.)

First, use the search bar at the top and enter your search terms. You'll probably see a lot of results.

Next, expand the "Location" tab on the left sidebar under "Refine your results." Select "Young Reader" from the dropdown menu and click on "Apply filters."

You should now see results from your original search, filtered to only include children's books.
