French and Francophone Studies

This is a guide to research in the language, literatures, and cultures of the French-speaking world.

Introduction to Research in French and Francophone Studies

"French-speaking communities exist in many parts of the world, including Africa, the Caribbean, Europe, North America, Southeast Asia, and the South Pacific. This diversity is reflected in the French and Francophone Studies Department curriculum, which is designed to promote understanding and awareness of the language, literatures, and cultures of the French-speaking world."--French and Francophone Studies Dept. web site.

This guide will help you locate books, articles, and other materials for your papers and projects and provide suggestions for print and online sources in language, literature, history and culture.

The guide is a work in progress so some sections may be incomplete.
