Searching the Rare Book Collections

Collections

There are many special collections of rare books in the Archives and Special Collections Library. Some were gathered by one collector, others focus on a particular topic. View the list of descriptions for more information.

Individual Titles

To locate specific books, use the online catalog. If a basic search does not seem to work, try the Advanced Keyword Search option then narrow by location. Most of the rare book collection in the Archives and Special Collections Library (Archive/SpecColl) is located in "Grille." Other locations include the Bechtel Children's Book Collection (Bechtel), Vassariana (VC), and the Alumnae/i Collection (Alum).

There may be some materials that have not yet been catalogued. Please consult the Special Collections Assistant for more information about uncatalogued titles.
